Ryan LaPlant
President
Ryan takes a vision and makes it a reality through sound strategy development. He intuitively sees the threads of opportunity that wind through an organization, brings them together into a coherent whole, helps others extend their thinking, and drives material business advantage. He is an inspirational leader who tells stories that inspire action while at the same time is grounded in financial information that levers the business.
Currently, as the President of D1 Networks Ryan oversees all business operations while setting the vision for opportunity and future growth. He is now spearheading major strategic shifts in transitioning the
business into a national company. Ryan previously served as the Vice President of Finance for Core40 and its group of companies.
Ryan brings 12+ years of financial business management experience to D1 Networks. Ryan is a Collegiate National Champion and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Business Management from Columbia College. Ryan’s proven track record in financial management along with his personal approach to developing business relationships with clients and his team is a great fit for D1 Networks.
Eric Fritts
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations at D1 Networks, Erik Fritts is responsible for the national operations of the company. He brings more than 20 years of construction experience to D1. His experience and leadership have been focused on developing and delivering operational-driven business services and solutions, providing outstanding client service, and driving profitable revenue growth.
Prior to joining D1 Networks, Erik was the National Director of Sales and Construction for a large General Contractor based in the Midwest where he brought a seasoned approach to the modern construction landscape. A proven record of success coupled with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments has allowed Erik to build positive relationships with customers, sub-contractors, and vendors across the country.
Erik looks forward to using his prior experience to drive operational efficiencies within D1 while developing new business and personal relationships in the low-voltage sector.
Dan Chester
Director of Estimating and Preconstruction
Dan Chester has spent the last 8 years in the telecommunications and construction industry. Dan made his start at D1 at the beginning of 2020 with a mission to bridge D1 into the Indiana Market. Originally working in Commercial Development as a Technology Manager and Integrator, Dan cut his teeth designing and building IP access control systems, AV integrations, Building Automation, Schedulers, and Video Surveillance Systems among other construction trade projects.
He then transitioned to working for an emerging telecommunications carrier with a focus in fixed wireless backhaul. Dan designed and managed the datacenter infrastructure, cell tower colocations, and rooftop deployments for multiple national partners including DISH, Meijer, Edward Rose & Sons, and Milhaus. After 8 months as a project manager, Dan was promoted to Director of Project Management leading a team to build projects from Wisconsin to Florida.
